How do you feel at the start of your workday? Excited! I love the vibe and the people I work with. Pretty good—I enjoy my job but could use more inspiration. It’s fine; I show up, do my job, and go home. I feel drained before I even start. I dread going in and often think about leaving.

How well does your salon align with your personal and professional goals? Perfectly! I’m growing, supported, and exactly where I want to be. Mostly—it’s a good fit, but I sometimes wonder if there’s more out there for me. It works for now, but I’m not sure it’s my long-term home. I feel stuck—there’s little room for growth or alignment with what I want. My salon doesn’t align with my goals at all, and I’m just here for the paycheck.

How supported do you feel by your team and leadership? Incredibly supported—my team and leaders truly have my back. Mostly supported, though sometimes I wish there was more guidance. I have some support, but I mostly figure things out on my own. I don’t feel like my voice matters or that I get much support. I feel completely on my own and disconnected from leadership.

How do you feel about the culture and energy of your salon? It’s exactly what I want—positive, welcoming, and aligned with my values. It’s pretty good, but I occasionally wish it had a different energy. It’s fine, but I don’t feel deeply connected to it. I don’t relate to the culture or values much at all. I feel like I don’t belong here.

How well do you connect with your clients in your current salon? I have deep, meaningful relationships with my clients and love working with them. I have a solid client base, but I wonder if I’d connect better with a different clientele. I do my job, but I don’t feel much personal connection with my clients. I often feel like my clients aren’t the right fit for me. I feel disconnected from my clients and don’t enjoy working with them.

Is your income at this salon giving you the lifestyle you want? Yep! I feel financially stable and know I can grow my income here. 🙌 (and leadership roles if I want it) It’s fine for now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m leaving money on the table. 🤨 I get by, but I don’t see myself leveling up financially here. 🚫📈 I love my work, but my paycheck doesn’t reflect my skills and effort. 🫠 My bank account is screaming for help. 😭

What’s your gut feeling about your future in your current salon? This is my home, and I see myself here for a long time. I like it here, but I could see myself exploring other options in the future. I’m unsure—I’m staying for now, but I don’t feel fully committed. I feel like I need a change, but I don’t know what’s next. I’m already planning my exit.
