E. Claire was founded in 2014 to give all service providers for the salon & spa professions a space that provides all the tools they need to be successful. We were the first in So IL to use the terms “teaching salon” with our associate program. That program has now evolved into the E. Claire Academy Advanced Training Program. We have been ahead of the trends being a gender neutral and texture trained company, since opening our doors. The Academy has been built to teach to neurodivergent learners and all of our products are chosen due to their eco-friendly and sustainable design.
We offer hands on technical education with national educators, as well as hands on classes in color, design, social media and business. Our program helps you create foundations, build onto your knowledge with advanced techniques and support’s stylists transitioning to behind the chair on their own for the first time.
Working with an in salon mentor you will be given the skills and training to create habits that will build a foundation for a long & successful career!

Auditions will be held twice a year. Once you have made it through auditions, we will host a Blowdry Bootcamp. Those that we choose from the BB, will then go on to attend the Academy.
What’s the E. Claire Academy?
The Academy is the after you’ve graduated deep dive. The information you really wanted, but the instructors couldn’t give. (Because you have to pass the license after all!)
During the academy, you will dive deeper into all topics Cosmetology. While earning a certificate through live models. You can choose the hair or hair/spa course. Hair is 12 weeks and both is 15.
This 12 week course includes;
- vivids
- blonding
- braiding
- fades and more.
If you chose to continue on with the 15 week course we will dive deeper into waxing, skincare, and nails.
This is a $6000+ course that allows you to gain confidence, learn to build a clientele, and enjoy learning again. Scholarships available.
Auditions are twice a year and all of our future staff will be from the Academy. You are welcome to apply at any time, and we will notify you as we begin the next course.
